Til Wadi (तिल वडी)

Ingredients:
- Brown Til /Sesame seeds -300 gms
- Sugar - 300 gms
- Water -2 cups
- Cardamom Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Granted Coconut- 1 small bowl
- Ghee for greasing
Method:
- Dry roast the sesame seeds till they start spluttering. Keep them aside
- In a thick-bottom pan , mix sugar and water and boil it well to make a thick syrup
- In the mean time grind the roasted sesame seeds coarsely and add the mixture to the boiling sugar syrup
- Stir it well to avoid lumps. Keep it on a low flame till the mixture leaves sides
- Add cardamom powder
- Grease a plate and quickly put the mixture as sugar immediately becomes hard
- Grease a spoon with ghee and spread the mixture evenly
- Garnish it with grated coconut and cut into square before it cools down
- Keep the wadi in an air-tight container
For a variation , you can also add ground roasted peanut. I made these laddus as a variation :
