Fruit Salad with Condensed Milk

It feels good to be back in action after a nice break. So to restart the cooking saga, i made this Fruit salad with condensed milk - a recipe which was very quick and gave an instant delight to the taste buds.I remember my birthday when my mom used to make fruit custard which was one of the few desserts i had without any fuss.
The creamy texture of the condensed milk and the crunch of the fruits in between is a nice way to make kids have fruits in their diet. Take a look at the quick recipe:

Ingredients:
  • 4 Bananas
  • 1 medium Mango
  • 2 medium Apples
  • 1 Orange
  • 4 Chiku
  • 1 bowl Papaya cubes
  • 1 bowl fresh Strawberries
  • 1 tin Condensed Milk
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Peach Syrup
Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 mins.

Serves: 4-5

Method:
  • Cut all the fruits in small cubes and refrigerate for an hour.
  • In a vessel, pour the condensed milk and add 1/2 cup milk.Boil for 5 minutes so that the milk blends with the thick condensed milk.
  • Add Peach syrup and mix well. If you don't have peach syrup, you can also add any fruit syrup (mango, strawberry etc.) from Mapro.
  • Refrigerate for 2-3 hours as the fruit salad tastes best when served chilled.
  • In a mixing bowl, mix the fruits and the condensed milk.
  • Garnish with a fresh cherries.

Isn't it looking awesome? The only thing you have to remember is that you have to finish this in one go which i am sure should not be a tough task. Try the recipe and enjoy the richness of fruits in a single serving !!
HAPPY COOKING !!
