We all love sandwiches and I am sure that they are an integral part of every working professional’s life. The best part about Sandwiches is that you can not only make it as per your taste but also with  ingredients as humble as kanda- lasun masala .
Here is a colorful sandwich which is packed with the goodness of Vitamin A and lots of proteins- Carrot & Greens Peas Sandwich it is. Here comes the recipe:

Ingredients:
  • Brown Bread slices
  • 1 ½ cup parboiled and finely chopped carrots
  • ½ cup green peas –boiled and slightly mashed
  • 1 tspn Cumin powder
  • ½ tspn Pepper powder
  • 3 Green chillies-finely chopped
  • Fresh Coriander leaves- finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Chat masala –optional

Preparation Time: 10 mins

Method:
  • Take boiled carrots and peas in a bowl
  • Add chopped chillies , cumin powder , pepper powder , salt and chopped coriander and mix well
  • Spread this mixture evenly on a slice and cover it with another slice (repeat for the remaining slices)
  • Place the sandwiches in greased sandwich maker and cook till the slices are brown and crisp
  • Sprinkle some chat masala
  • Server hot with Tomato Ketchup or Coriander Chatni
  • You can also add finely chopped raw veggies like cabbage or capsicum to the grilled sandwich to enhance the taste
 Note: These sandwiches taste equally good when made on a non-stick tawa.
